Hello, Altenew friends! It's Virginia here. I am delighted to share another Stamp Focus blog post with you. The beautiful and versatile sentiment Blessings Stamp Set consists of traditional and meaningful faith-based messages. It truly is a must-have for holiday card-making. My three projects highlight this stamp set and here are my takes in 3 different creative ways.
1. Add the text to outline images.
I applied inks (Sea Glass, Pink Diamond, and Bamboo) to Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock first. I then stamped one of the sentiments from Blessings Stamp Set in Mocha Crisp Dye Ink.
Next, I stamped the bow from Holiday Bow Stamp Set with Embossing Ink and embossed it in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. The matching Holiday Bow Die Set made it easy to create the focal point. I added the floral elements from Holiday Bow Stamp Set. The Rose Gold-embossed Geo Frames Stamp and Die Bundle made the design SING!
The white-embossed sentiment from Blessings Stamp Set really stands out on Turquoise Cardstock.
I hope you like the bow with text images as they really enhance the overall design.
2. Stamp a TEXT background.
The Festive Poinsettia image was first embossed in Fluorescent Green Crisp Embossing Powder. With the matching Festive Poinsettia Die, I made a die-cut and used it as a mask. Once the poinsettia image was covered, I stamped the sentiment in various colors over the masked area.
The sentiment “Hallelujah” was stamped in Lava Rock Crisp Dye Ink. I colored the poinsettia very lightly with Artist Markers (Frosty Pink) and kept this one layer fairly simple. The colors and images can speak volumes!
3. Create a scene based on the sentiment.
I took the inspiration from one of the sentiments in Blessings Stamp Set and created a “warm” and “cozy” scene. The quintessential images from Christmas Stockings are ideal in this. I stamped the stockings in non-traditional colors and die cut them with the matching Christmas Stockings Die Set.
To add the extra homespun feel, what could be warmer than warm Cozy Flannel Cover Die? I used part of the cover die for layering and this serves as a lovely background.
I then “hung up” the stockings with strings and stamped the sentiment from Blessings Stamp Set in Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink. I hope that you can feel the warmth! Creating a scene is super easy once you have the right stamp set!
I am sure you'd agree that the Blessings Stamp Set is more than just a sentiment stamp set. It really has so much to offer. I hope that today's post gives you some ideas and inspiration for holiday card-making. I appreciate your comments and feedback. Have a beautiful day!
