Hello, crafty friends!
Svitlana is here. Today, I will be sharing three cards made using the newly released stamp set – Birds of a Feather.
For my first card, I decided to go with a clean and graphic design using limited colors. The birds in this set remind me of those prints you can see in home decor items and I wanted to kind of continue this vision.
I started by stamping birds onto a Solar White Cardstock using Arctic, Persian Blue and Sapphire Dye Inks. Next, I die-cut them using matching dies.
I cut a panel out of Pale Gray Cardstock and stamped a couple of branches with berries in black using the Simple Flowers Stamp Set. I also stamped one element from this set using Honey Drizzle Dye Ink twice and die-cut it with the matching die. After that, I die-cut a couple of small circles out of Solar White Cardstock using a die from the Simple Flowers Die Set.
I stamped a sentiment in the bottom of the card, adhered the panel onto a white card base, then adhered all die-cuts onto it.
The second card is a little bit more layered, so to speak :)
First, I stamped a bird using Coral Bliss, Heart Beat and Vineyard Berry Dye Inks, added some details with pencils and die-cut it using the matching die. Next, I made myself my own color paper by inking Persian Blue and Sapphire Dye Inks. I then die-cut several greenery out of this paper and Gold Mirror Cardstock using dies from Create-A-Wreath Die Set and die-cut an oval frame out of Solar White Cardstock.
I cut a panel out of Navy Cardstock and foam mounted it onto a white card base. I added some gold spray splatters and then assembled the frame-bird-greenery composition. Lastly, I white embossed a sentiment onto a Jet Black Cardstock, hand cut it, and foam mounted it onto the card.
The last card is very quick and simple. First, I cut a panel out of Parchment Cardstock and added some brown splatters. I then stamped a sentiment using Dark Chocolate Dye Ink, tied a twine around and foam mounted it onto a white card base.
Next, I stamped a bird using Ocean Waves, Mocha and Espresso Dye Inks and die-cut it using the matching die. Finally, I foam mounted it onto the card.
Now you have some ideas of how you can use this amazing stamp set!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Svitlana,
Great designs with the new Altenew release stamp set. All very different, using different colour combos and additional products. I love my critters but I do not normally like bird stamps but your designs use them so well that I think my mind is changing about the birds. Thank you for demonstrating different techniques in each of your designs. :0)
Thank you a lot, Lorraine!
