Stamp Focus: Bells and Bows

by Sveta Fotinia

Hello everyone!

Sveta is here today focusing on the Bells and Bows Stamp Set.

6x8 Bells and Bows grande

I made three cards with three different images from the set and I can say that these bows are very versatile and can be used for almost any occasion.

The first card I made used the small bow images. This card is made to congratulate newly parents with an arrival for a baby girl. I  made a background with bows placing them in a diagonal order. For stamping I used the following inks: Puffy Heart Crisp Dye InkRose Quartz Crisp Dye InkPurple Wine Crisp Dye Ink.

I added a cute bunny girl from the Bunny Love Stamp Set, added her a smile and colored her in a pink and grey colors.

For the sentiment stamping I choose the one from the Baby Zoo Stamp set. “Baby girl” is sentiment I used to complete my background pattern. For a final touch, I added little crystals to the center of all bows on the card.dsc_0362

For my second card, I adhered the Silver Glitter Tape in a way to imitate present wrapping and put the bigger bow on a crossing.

For the sentiment I used stamps from two sets: the Sketched Evergreen Stamp Set and the Halftone Holidays Stamp Set.

For the bow stamping I used the following Crisp Dye Ink colors: Emerald Crisp Dye InkLagoon Crisp Dye InkVolcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink. I really like how this layer stamping image looks like, it's very natural!

And the final, third card turned out so cozy! I used the bell as a Christmas Tree ornament.

First, I stamped the branch from the Floral Frame Stamp Set with the Jet Black Crisp Dye ink. Then made ink blending using the Frayed Leaf Crisp Dye Ink and the Evergreen Crisp Dye Ink. I stamped the branch second time using a white pigment ink, very close to the first branch – this trick added a 3D look to the branch. I also covered some leaves with Stickles.

I stamped the sentiment from the Halftone Holidays Stamp Set and added a bow made of shiny twine to the bell.
