Hello and thank you for visiting us today. It's Marika here and I'm featuring Beautiful Lady set today. At first, I'd like to say that I was so thrilled when I learned that I have a focus post on this particular set – this is perfect for colouring! On my set of three cards, I tried to achieve different feel in each card by altering colouring mediums and style. On my first card I wanted to achieve a look that you could find in those old floral books. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Distress inks for colouring.
Stamps used: Beautiful Lady and Thinking of you.

For my second card, I wanted to go for very clean and simple, sharp and detailed look – one might say: a modern look. I used no-line colouring with copic markers and coloured pencils to colour my image.
Stamps used: Beautiful Lady.

On my third card, I wanted to gain a fresh and chic – a party like look. Although it ended up being a thank you- card, I'm quite happy with the result. To colour this card, I stamped the image with Distress Markers and then blended the ink from the image with my water brush. For the stem and leaves, I used Zig Clean Color Marker to stamp them and coloured it with same technique. Since that ink had already dried, it was quite hard to get it blend again so I had to add more colour from the marker. While doing so, the stem and the leaves got more details than the flower part, so after I ended up adding more details to the flowers too. I used a stencil and watercolored though it to make my background. And of course, splatters finishes up every card.
Stamps used: Beautiful Lady and Sohcahtoa.

Marika, the coloring and composition on all three cards is very striking and beautiful but since you asked, I like the first water colored card just a little more than the other two.

Wow stunning job as always Marika. My favourite would be the water coloured card – I love the greyish background you’ve achieved. All amazing!
Thank you, Linda! Oh, the background is my favourite as well in that card. I was very scared if I ruin the whole card with the background but it turned out to be better than I imagined!
All 3 are just lovely! My favorite is the 3rd card (watercolored). Beautiful colors with a pop of black….stunning!

They are all so beautiful. My favorite , however, is the third card. It just seems looser and more watercolorery (not a word) ?. The bit of bokeh is a nice touch as well.
Hi Helen! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I love the look of the third one as well, and those Boked dots were so fun to create. Enjoy your day!
Those bokeh watercolor spots on the third card add so much to your design. Your coloring never ceases to amaze me!
Thank you so much! The background was so fun to create that I think I have to do it again – very soon! :) Have a great day!
