Stamp Focus: Amazing You

by Erum Tasneem

Hello, everyone! Erum here today! Hope you are doing great. Did you check out the new release? Isn't it just amazing? Did you see those layering dies?! So awesome! Today I am going to share three cards I made using the Amazing You Stamp Set.

6x8 Amazing You

I love the bold lines of this stamp set, and you will see why I love them! Here is my first card:

Card using @Altenew Amazing You stamp set by @pr0digy0

For my card, I stamped the flowers from Amazing You Stamp Set in watermark ink and heat embossed them in gold. Can you see how prominent that gold is because of the bold lines? I watercoloured these beauties in tones of coral, pink and peach. I then fussy cut all the flowers and placed them on Woodgrain Powder cardstock. Some of these I layered on top of another, it added to the dimension.

The gold scallops you see are punched from the gorgeous Gold Foil cardstock. I also added a panel I watercoloured in different tones to match the flowers and stamped the sentiment “You are amazing” in watermark ink and heat embossed it in gold.

On to my second card which is more graphic and bold.

Here I stamped the flowers using Archival Ink in Jet Black and created a vine which I pencil colored. After I was done with the flowers, I started to watercolor the background and kept it darker on the top and very faded, washed out at the bottom. I also used the dripping technique to add the perfect watercolor look.

I added some white dots with my gel pen to add a bit of interest. Here is a closer look that shows the beautiful sentiment.

Now on to my last card. I heat embossed the flowers in white this time and this one looks the prettiest!

This one makes my heart happy! I used very light watercolor and also added two tones of colors in places. The images are fussy cut and placed on different levels to add dimension.

I watercoloured the base a bit in gray so that flowers would pop. The silver glitter mat you see is made out of the gorgeous Silver Glitter Tape. These silver and gold tapes are my new favorite things, and I know I will be using them a lot!

In today's post, I wanted to show you the variance you can achieve just by changing the stamping ink and different embossing powders.

I hope you liked my work and found some inspiration! I had so much fun making these cards to share with you!

See you all soon! Don't forget to leave a bit of love for me or if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

OMG, these are just fantastic. The very first phone with all that old gold embossing is definitely my favorite but truthfully I love them all. Trying to narrow my selection of the new release down to three sets and this is definitely going to have to be one of them.

The other hard part is going to be picking one out that has a lot of these wonderful sentiments because the sentiments in this release Are just fantastic too! ( I know other people are )… but personally I am not into that cutesy punny saying like ” owl I need is you “. All of the sentiments in all of the stamp sets are just beautiful the truth is I want to have them all….

Reply
Erum Tasneem January 28, 2017 - 3:03 PM

Thank you Jane! You are right! There are some amazing sentiments in this release! I hope you hopped along and commented on all the blogs (for our blog hop), to increase your chances of winning!

Omy!! These cards are absolutely gorgeous!! Not just gorgeous, they are stunning!! I can’t decide which one I like the most. Each one of them has something that’s amazing! It baffles me sometimes that you can get 2 cards that are so different using the exact same stamp set. So much inspiration in this post. Thanks for ß

I am so glad you think so! I had one more idea for this stamp set but sadly I had no time on my hands.

Oh my, Erum, all three cards are stunning! If I had to pick a favorite, I think I’d go with your first one in peachy corals and gold. Gold embossing is just so elegant. Can’t believe you fussy cut all these flowers! The dripping technique in the second one and shadowing in the third really take these stamps to a new level. Your work is totally awesome!

Reply
