Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing how to mix and match colors on flower petals to create a beautiful pastel rainbow effect.
How to Make Pastel Rainbow Die-Cut Florals
I started by cutting all of the images from Craft-A-Flower: Sulfur Cosmos Layering Die Set from white cardstock. I also cut a second larger flower and extra leaves. Once I had all of the die-cut pieces for the flowers, I added some simple ink blending to the center/base of the petal layers. I went up through the layer pieces using different ink colors. From layers 1 to 5, I used the colors: Strawberry, Orange Sorbet, Lemon Ice, a mix of Mint Choc and Blueberry, then Soft Lilac. I adhered these together, but before adding on the flower center, I added detail to it using the Gold Must-Have Gel Pen.
Before adhering my florals into place on the card base, I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel that was embossed using Diamond Stars 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment was hot foiled using Brass Hot Foil and Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate.
