Video: Smile More Card using Emboss Resist Technique

by Laura

Hello! It's Laura here and today I have a fun, cheerful project to share with you featuring the Smile More stamp set along with the Coordinating Dies.

Altenew-Smile MoreTo begin I embossed a few blooms & leaves from Smile More Stamp Set with clear embossing powder. Then I used several Altenew inks to blend in color over the embossed images.

Altenew-Smile MoreI added some subtle ink blending along the bottom edge of the card using Volcano Lake Crisp Ink.

Altenew-Smile MoreI die cut the Smile More sentiment and popped it up along with the embossed blooms & leaves. Then I stamped another sentiment below it from Adore You Stamp Set.

Altenew-Smile MoreHere's a video to show you how I created my card.

Love this card! Like how you use the dies but don’t get the ugly white edge! I wish Altenew & other companies would change the dies to cut on the line so they don’t end up looking like stickers.

What a cheerful sweet card. The colors just say Spring . Thank you so much for showing in detail the steps you used to create this lovely card. I would like to try and make this with the Altenew supplies you have listed. I’m 76 and have lots of supplies, ” Collector ” ?, but haven’t really made many cards. I’ll start with the one you have just shown us .?

Oh you just inspired me to use white embossing with some new flower stamps I got! Great video! Inky fingers! I’m telling ya Laura my skin must be weird it stains so bad! I had to use toothpaste to fade the distress ink off my fingers the other day! I’m extra absorbent.?! Hahaha!

You always get it just right. Like the no white edges on the flowers and the finger inking.

Your flowers are so beautiful, both the coloring and the stamp itself. I appreciate being able to see them in use, as they don’t show as much life when you just look at the black and white picture of the stamp set. Thank you.

NOT dirty but inky! Love the finger inking technique. Butterflies LOVE cone flowers and they do come in some beautiful colors. But your world is entitled to whatever colors you want for your beautiful cards!

What a pretty card! You used my favorite color, yellow, and the flowers look so spring like. Today we had some snow showers but on the weekend it is supposed to be 50! Were having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave. LOL
