Simple Flowers Window – Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it's Therese and today I decided to create a bright and cheerful window card using the Simple Flowers stamp set.

After masking off the centre circle I stamped the images with Altenew Crisp Dye Inks and to add depth I simply used two different shades of Prismacolor pencils in very similar colours to the stamped flowers.  The solid images from the Simple Flowers stamp set make it perfect for this easy shading technique.  My sentiment was white heat embossed from the Geometric Flowers stamp set onto the Dark Gray Altenew Cardstock.

I just love the bright funky flowers from this set and have linked the video below so you can watch the process on how it all came together.

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

Great card. I like that stamp set more and more, every time I see it used. Thanks for sharing the video. Great idea using pencils to enhance the stamps.

Love the circle space in the centre and how the stamps are then positioned around it. Have a great day. Cheers Donna Z :)

This set is so 60’s looking and if you grew up in the 60’s like I did then you will know what I mean. I’ve seen it used so much that when I won in one of the blog hops for Altenew it was the one of the stamps I bought. I also got the 2 Christmas Tree stamps after seeing them used quite a bit. I want to watch your video to see how you did this card because I would like to try to do this one. I’ve never done masking before, yeah I know, so it will be a new technique for me. When I get any cards done, I will send them to you so you can see what I’ve done. I especially love your colorful card which is so much my thing, colors I mean, because you used my favorite color, yellow. There isn’t enough yellow in cards and I say we should have a day every month where we have to use my favorite color yellow in a card. Whose with me on this? LOL Beautiful card!
