September Challenge: From the Craft Room

Hello!

Today we are very excited to be introducing our first monthly challenge!

Each month we will be bringing you an inspiration photo based on a particular theme.

This month's theme is: From the Craft Room: Lime Lemonade

To get you started, I made a card based on this photo:

I used the Giraffe image from our Geometric Menagerie set, and embossed it in white on water color paper. Next I used Peerless water colors to add some yellow and green to the Giraffes. I trimmed them, and adhered them over a die cut circle. The leaves were doodled using a fine tip Gray marker, trimmed and adhered behind the circle. Since I made this card for a friend of mine who just had twin boys, I had to make a custom greeting using a Dymo label maker (I just realized that in my hurry I forgot the “o” in welcome! Good thing I can simply make another label :) ).

Play Along:

Make a card, a tag, a layout or any other project based on the inspiration photo above. You may use either the colors, the composition, the elements, the texture or any combination to create your project.

Rules:

• Make a new project for each challenge and post it by 11:55 pm EST September 30
• Use at least one Altenew stamp
• Link back to Altenew September Challenge in your post
• When uploading your project, make sure to link to your entry post, not your entire blog
• You may enter as many times as you wish!

Prizes:

After the challenge closes, Three winners will be selected, and each will receive a $20 store credit at www.altenew.com. Winners will be announced at the beginning of the next month.
