Hello, Altenew friends! It's Laurie here with the September Inspiration Challenge. This year, I spent a lot of time planting several big pots of flowers all around my patio. The colors are always so bright and cheery. Of course, I also saw a pretty fun color combo that would make for a great challenge!
Using these 3 colors, I went incredibly clean and simple. It's amazing how a single stamped image can make an impact!
This stem is from the Tranquility Rose Stamp Set. After stamping in Obsidian Pigment Ink, I was super careful to add in color with the Sunshine Valley Alcohol Marker Set. Obsidian Pigment Ink is my absolute favorite but also does not set quickly, so used with Alcohol Markers, it will smudge. Unless you're careful, and in my case, I didn't add much color or blending in, so it worked perfectly! Plus, I get that nice, crisp, black image that Obsidian gives.
To finish off this card, I added a simple sentiment from the same set. This card would be so very easy to mass produce. Change up the sentiment to “thank you” and you would have a great stack of cards ready to go!
