Rock & Roll Stamping

by Aimes

Hey!

It's Aimes here today sharing a bold and bright card with you featuring the brand-new Simple Flowers stamp set along with some subtle rock and roll stamping.

amy-gray-simple-flowersI applied light ink on the flower heads and rolled a slightly darker shade around the edges. (I used Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine for the yellow tones, and Volcano Lake and Lagoon ink for the blue tones) For a more dramatic effect, you can experiment with different colours of course! You have to look quite closely for the subtle change of colour on these flowers, but the technique is guaranteed to add dimension to your stamping! :)

A strip of silver glitter tape was popped across the bottom of the main panel to help ground the flowers and add a touch of sparkle to the design. I couldn't resist!

I love the versatility of this stamp set; I've seen my fellow teamies Svetlana use it to create trendy trees, May use it to create  wonderful backgrounds, and Debby use it with stunning autumnal tones for a more subtle style. Don't tell the other sets, but this one is one of my favourites from the new release. ;)

If you've not already checked out the new release, then do so here and be sure to join in the blog hop as there's inspiration galore and there's still time to enter for your chance to win one of many Altenew gift certificates on offer if you comment by Thursday 20th October!

I hope today's card inspires you to check out the new release and to rock out with your stamps with this fun technique!

Rock on! ;)

Great new release. I love the new flower created with using layers of the 3 stamps and will order it. I’m also going to try the cube ink pads for the first time. Thanks
