Hi there! Laura here and today I have a colorful project to share featuring the Layered Medallions Cover Die B. I love that you can use the Layered dies together, but you can also get some really fun results by using them separately, too.
To create my project I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the Layered Medallion B die. Then I used several Altenew inks to blend color onto the petal shapes- Autumn Blaze, Orange Cream, Warm Sunshine, Ruby Red, Coral Berry, Lagoon, Volcano Lake, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris, Parrot, Moss, Persian Blue and Sapphire. I also die cut a piece of glitter cardstock and used pieces of it to fill in between the petals.
I added an embossed sentiment from the Many Thanks stamp set and used white Enamel Accents to add tiny drops in the centers of each petal.
Here is a video to show you how I created this card.
ARVE Error: need id and provider
I love how this turned out and think it could be easily customized for many holidays and occasions. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Wow Laura! Love this colorful and glittery beauty!
Beautiful card for someone special for sure!! Glad you’re ok from your spill!! Take care!
This is beautiful and so fun and different! Love your rainbow cards. Glad to hear you and your camera survived and this card is gorgeous!!
Such a fun fun card!
LOL!! Oh Laura, first of all, I’m so happy you are ok, and of course, your camera too. I totally can relate to your story, in order to take pictures of my cards, I constructed a very rudimentary “Light Box” from a Utube video and placed it on top of a cart where I keep my blank cards and other things just to be able to take advantage of the morning sun,(when available, ha ha!!!) I have climbed on top of my work table to take the shot and in the process, I’ve knocked down my ink pads, brushes, pencils, etc. Ughhh!! so I bought an inexpensive light box on Amazon, only $16.00 with free shipping, the light source connects to my computer and gives this beautiful light for my pictures, no more acrobatics for me, that’s for sure.
Anyway, your card is stunning, love how patiently you sponged each petal and then place it on the panel, the results are amazing, so happy all of your pain was rewarded by this lovely pictures.
Next time, please be careful, you do not what to brake some bones, ok?
Thank you so much for this video and your funny (but painful) story, I can almost picture you falling and holding on to that camera with all your might.
Big hugs.
Maria Rodriguez.
So cooL!
Wow! That’s beautiful, please don’t even stop with the rainbows. And be careful!
STUNNING card!!
OH my what a work to make it..
SO sorry you hurt yourself So badly…
hope you are all healed again..
I had a same kind of experience..
Great card! Can’t wait to see what you do with the glitter paper cuts you didn’t use. I struggle with using all parts of the card and am always looking for inspiration on how to use it all!
Rainbows follow you wherever you go! It’s the best way to share the JOY:))
Who knew that cardmaking could be so Dangerous?? Glad you are ok.
I’m sure a bit of ARNICA MONTANA can help with the residual bruising. Free advice from Dr. Mamma LauraJane:))
Ahh Laura – its a laugh a minute when watching your videos!! So glad you were OK after your wipeout! Your card is a beaut! Thanks for the inspiration and entertainment. Love ya!!
I can relate to your fall, I was a letter carrier with USPS for 26 yrs. Every so often I would trip over something in someones yard. If I tried to break my fall, the mail would go flying, so usually I just tried to roll (literally) with it. I then would jump up and look around to see if anyone saw it. Luckily, I never broke anything. I am glad you are o.k. Your card is gorgeous!
I am so glad to hear you are alright! I am so glad to hear your camera survived also.
I did a similar thing coming down from my DDs Loft bed after retreiving some thing …I fell backwards but I knew her Hammie bin was right behind me so I shifted somehow mid air and landed on my right shoulder…but I slammed into the dresser, no one came to my screams of agony at first and when they finally did my DH asked” are you alright??” NO I am not alright, would I be lying on the floor if I was alright???!!! I hit the ground so hard I cracked my DD’s dresser when I hit it…but the hammie was fine and dandy! LOL
Never do that again Laura! I don’t want to hear that you’ve been injured! Who would do ink blending?
Stunning card!!! Glad you’re ok but next time ask yourself “what would I tell my kids if they were to do this?” lol BE CAREFUL!!!
Laura, so glad you are alright! I love, love all of your cards. This one is no exception. I would never have thought to use the die like that. It is awesome! I had that V8 moment when you used the negative as your pattern to EASILY glue down the pieces! Thank you so much for giving me these ideas! These dies are on my wishlist and I hope to get them soon. You rest up so you can continue to share your beautiful art with us.
Gorgeous! Love the colors and the glitter card-stock you added. The enamel accents are great too. So pretty and glad you survived the fall!
Very happy you are OK after your fall. Although I am sure you have bumps and bruises!
LOVE, love, love your card!! I don’t know if I would have the patience to do all that die
colouring.
Laura, gorgeous card and so glad you didn’t hurt yourself! I use a cardboard science project board (3 sided) to take photo’s of my stuff-you can always put a decorated background behind it to take the photos. No more climbing up on things!
Uh Oh! I’m trying to stay in the loop and how you fell – but no fall is ever good! You were climbing on something is the most I have found …. just glad you are okay! I had a frozen shoulder for a year from a bad fall! Not fun at all. Hope you have no serious effects except maybe a bruised ego! Poor you. Love your card – the more I looked at it the more I liked it. With the strong lines, you softened it up quite nicely with the colours and shading! Lovely!
WOW! Gorgeous, Vibrant Colors! TFS! SO GLAD YOU ARE OK! Your Angel was by your side! <3

Your rainbow card is stunning. Your pictures came out nice, and so did you. Take care!
Love the dimension you achieved! I saw it and before I read anything said if this isn’t Laura’s, someone sure is rocking her style. LOL
This is just awesome! :)
Gorgeous card!! I love all these bright colors on combination with BW sentiment ?
Thank you for sharing this lovely card and another really enjoyable video! :)
Glad you are well! Take care! :)
Oh my gosh… I am so glad you’re OK.. that could of been bad. Lesson learned.. Get something stable.
I love this card and colors. Great idea using the negative parts. So often they are thrown out. Good extension of the die using all parts. So glad to see your video.
Oh my how wonderful this is! Aren’t we all nuts when it comes to trying moves we know defy gravity….. Glad you and your camera are both fine!
This is just gorgeous!!! I love the multi-colors with the white enamel dots! I have to try this technique. Thank you for your video!
Wow that sounds like a scary fall…glad the camera is ok. Ha, just kidding glad you survived without injury. Gorgeous card and love the subtle shimmer with the glitter cardstock.
OMG LAURA!! Glad you are okay after your spill trying to take a picture of your card!! Your card BTW is stunning as usual, but I really wish you would not stand on your desk and a foot stool to photograph it!! Your blow my mind with your creativity and I just love to watch your videos & your whole thought process!!
Wow, a lovely card and a nasty fall. I am so glad that you say you are okay but
I have a feeling that side you fell on ( at the same time always protecting your camera )
That that side is still hurting. With five kids I’m sure you know to put ice on everything ASAP well everything but your card . And here I thought your pictures were all so beautiful because the cards are beautiful and you were a good photographers with the good camera I had no idea it took a contortionist and a good camera and a good card!
Laura, only you! Well, that’s not true, since as you said, we’ve all done the photography gymnastics. Good news is that you weren’t seriously hurt, saved the camera and got some great shots of the card! But only you could turn it into a funny story. Oh yeah, of course I love your card! I always love your cards and videos. You brighten up my day, thanks!
Beautiful card! Love all the colour!! I’m sure glad you’re ok and you didn’t fracture any bones!! Take care!
What a beautiful card…but not worth you breaking something. I know you’re younger than me, but still, bones don’t heal as good as they did in our teens and twenties. Also, even though we (I) have more to bounce, it just doesn’t seem to have the same spring as it did at one time! You be careful because your videos are my favorites and I don’t want anything to happen to you! Btw, the rainbows follow you because you are a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day! Keep on shining!
So cute! Love the rainbow of colors and the extra sparkle!
Wow…stunning card!
What a great card! It doesn’t even look like any other card created by this die! So unique! You always have such original ideas. I’ve looked that die many times before, and never saw a flower! Thanks for inspiring me yet again! You’re amazing, Laura!
Laura, glad you survived your spill; we’ve all done things like that, so you’re not alone!! As for your card – how lovely and creative, I love the rainbow as well! You did a terrific job, it was well worth your efforts!
Thanks so much for the video Queen of the Rainbow! Please don’t try your photography stunt again LOL Better to be safe than to be sorry. I would miss your videos terribly
Lovely card Laura!
Oh my… super gorgeous and happy as you are :)!
So beautiful…I love your cards..your my absolute favorite card maker. Your voice over is wonderful, your technics, I feel like I can actually do..love love love it!
Absolutely gorgeous. And I am glad you are ok!
