How to Create This Quick and Easy Washi Card

by Laurie Willison

Hello, Altenew friends! It's Laurie here with today's quick and easy card. If you know me, you know I love a good quick card! There are so many ways to accomplish a quick card that packs a punch, but one of my favorite ways is by using washi. Today's card will feature 2 rolls of washi, one sentiment die, and some sequins for a bit of bling. Super easy!

To create this card, I used Painted Fantasy Wide Washi Tape for the main floral focal point. The blooms on this tape are absolutely gorgeous and really easy to cut out. First thing, you want to add a cardstock backer to the washi tape. I have a very easy way to back wide washi quickly and easily. You may have seen my washi video before, but if not, check it out HERE. Altenew has an awesome new Bone Folder and it works perfectly for this! After the washi is adhered to the cardstock, you want to fussy cut out any of the floral images you'd like to add to your card front.

To add detail to the card base, I used Altenew's Gold String Washi Tape in 2 panels on this card front. Lining up the edge just gives it a different design element. To finish off the card, I used Altenew's Foam Tape to add dimension to the florals and layered them on the card. I used the Waterbrush Hello Dies for a black sentiment, and then adding in a little bling with the Antique Gold Sequins was the last step.
