The sad thing about winter and holiday stamps is that they only seem to get used for a few months (at most) each year. To stretch your stamps, try looking at them in a new way! Here, a poinsettia painted in yellows and pinks no longer looks like it belongs on a Christmas card:
I embossed the flower (from Poinsettia and Pine) onto heavy cardstock, then loosely watercolored the image. Next, I cut it out and layered a few die cut leaves from the Doodle Blooms die collection. The sentiment is from Bejeweled, although I think I tried about 6 different sentiments from three different sets before I chose that one!
Do you ever use your holiday stamps on non-holiday cards? I'd love to know how you stretch your stamps!

Beautiful, no I only use holiday stamps (only have a few) for holidays. But your card makes me think I need to rethink my usage. Thanks.
