No-Line Pencil Coloured Peony Scrolls + Winner + Sale

by Erum Tasneem

Hello everyone! Erum here and I have a new card to share with you today using an oldie but a goodie stamp set, the Peony Scrolls Stamp Set. Also, I will be announcing the winner of one of my cards from my previous post.

It has been a while since I have used the Peony Scrolls Stamp Set. For my card front, I started off by inking my background using the Halftone Stencil. I used a mix of Lavender FieldsPuffy Heart and Purple Wine Crisp Inks. I then added a few black and purple paint splatters.

Next, I diecut a circle and placed it on the card front little to the left using foam tape. I stamped my images on watercolour paper using Soft Lilac Crisp Ink for the flowers and Mountain Mist Crisp Ink for the leaves.

I used Prismacolors to colour my image.I keep a stash of stamped images in case I find the time to colour them. This too was a stamped bouquet meant for a one layer card or one piece floral element. I decided to follow my own advice about adding dimension which I mentioned in a recent post.

Therefore, in order to add dimension, I cut out my image. I only separated the bunch of leaves on the top and bottom along with a few floating petals, the rest I left intact. You can see the cut lines on my leaves, they are only visible at a certain angle. In order to avoid this, you can stamp the leaves separately and then place them. I popped up all the cut out pieces on foam tape.

Next I stamped “hello” from Halftone Hello Stamp Set and die cut it out twice. I placed it on the floral bouquet using glossy accents. I also added glossy accents on to the sentiment.

Lastly, I added a few sequins for the bling.
