Video Hop Inspiration: Time to Craft!
For today's video hop inspiration, I'm going to be sharing a card with beautiful ink blending. I started by cutting nearly all of the elements from Winter Ice Skate Die Set from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back. The only pieces I didn't cut from this was the base of the boot, this was cut from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock but with no adhesive and the skate part which was cut from Brushed Silver Cardstock. I cut the boot elements out a second, missing out all of the floral elements.
Before adding the pieces together, I added color using ink and ink blending tools. The colors are as follows:
- Boot Base- Alpine Aster and Crystal Violet Inks
- Boot Upper – Water Hyacinth and Alpine Aster Inks
- Large Heel- Mocha Ink
- Small Heel – Espresso Ink
- Leaves – Jade and Eucalyptus Inks
- Large Flower – Pink Diamond and Pinkalicious Inks
- Small Flowers – Volcano Lake Ink
- Flower Centers – Chamomile and Snapdragon Inks
The background was created with Stellar Cascade 3D Embossing Folder. For a fun touch, I added a little twine behind the boots so it looks like they are hanging. The sentiment comes from Linear Life: Poinsettias Stamp Set and was stamped using Indigo Skies Ink. To see how this card came together please watch the video below or over on YouTube

The ice-skates are adorable
OMGoodness! This is such an adorably amazing collection.
What beautifully made cards. Love Lydia’s ice skates and Laura’s Joy. So far I’ve only done two blog hops, but love them both.
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed Lydia’s ice skates and Laura’s Joy – they’re truly inspiring!
Love the collection. I’m always partial to ice skates but that Habiscus! WOW!!!! I was not able to watch Candy Thomas’s video. When I clicked on it, it said it was no longer available. Possibly a broken link?
Lovely inspiration shared by the team on their videos with this release!
