To start off today's Video Hop, let's visit Lydia's Crafty Corner!

Hello there, Lydia here! Today, I'll be sharing a fun way to add a touch of glitter to your floral card designs and die-cuts.

To start, I placed the second stencil from Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers over a piece of vellum. I inked through this using embossing ink, and then heat set using Pure White Embossing Powder. I then used the coordinating die set to cut out the whole leaves and flowers from the embossed vellum.

To ‘color' the images I cut out the same dies again this time using glitter cardstock.

I used Jadeite from the Glitter Gradient Cardstock Set – Forest Canopy for the leaves and Sparkling Water, Shimmering Lake, and Dioptase from the Glitter Gradient Cardstock Set – Shimmering Shore for the flowers.

Then, I adhered the embossing vellum die-cuts onto the glitter die-cuts, off-setting them so the glitter could peek out from behind.

For the background, I did a little ink smooshing using Ocean Waves Ink. It has been a while since I used this technique for my floral card designs. I'm not sure why – it's so fun and easy to do!

To add a little more interest, I added a patterned strip from the Black & White Essentials 6×6 Paper Pack. The sentiment, meanwhile, is from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set.
