Hi there friends!  It's Nathalie, and I am thrilled to be the host of Altenew's  November 2023 Inspiration Challenge.   I am hoping this new challenge will ignite your creativity, and you will join in the fun for a chance at a generous giveaway!

Let's start with the original inspiration for this challenge.   I took this photo on our latest trip to my native Ecuador, a few weeks ago.  The small town I am from is surrounded by lush mountains, green fields, and waterfalls; so, it is easy to find blossoms and blooms at every little corner.   We were out for a hike around the mountain, and the colors in these flowers were just vibrant and different, I stopped to take this picture.  And now it is going to serve us as inspiration for a project of our own!

For this month's Inspiration Challenge, I want to focus on the cool tones in the center of the flowers in the photo and make them pop on my card.

I started by creating my flowers from white cardstock using Craft- A- Flower Cosmos Layering Die Set.    Using new Fresh Dye Inks (you can check all the colors I used in the supply list), and Mini Ink Blending Brushes, I colored only the center of each of the die cut pieces before gluing the bloom together.    The blueish, fuchsia, and lilac tones just bring a lot of impact to the white blooms.

I wanted to take advantage of the colors in this month's Inspiration Challenge and decided to use them to create a simple background for my card panel.  I used Satin Masking Tape to create the color stripes in the card panel.  I simply masked the cardstock for each color stripe making sure to leave a little white space between color stripes.

I set the flowers in the center of the panel, making sure they lay on the respective color stripe.   A few Branches and Berries Die cuts just help to frame them.   To complete my card, I pulled a sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments set and attached it to the card.
