Good morning, and thank you for joining us! Today we are celebrating the release of new stamps and a new product; Altenew specialty paper. Yesterday we revealed all the new stamps and papers, if you missed it, you can take a look here. All items are now available for purchase at our online store.

To celebrate, we have prepared an inspirational blog hop. This is your first stop where Jen and I have made some projects using the new products.

Beautiful Day

In this card, flower and leaves from Beautiful Day were stamped using our crisp inks. The sentiment is from the same set. A little bit of gold splatter and two glittery gold butterflies finish off the card.

Beautiful Lady2

The large flower from Beautiful Lady was white heat embossed on watercolor paper then painted with peerless watercolors. The painted piece was then mounted on Pale Gray card base. The sentiments are from the same set.

The gorgeous lantana flower from Beautiful Lady does not need to be colored in to look great – here it was stamped in various shades of purple ink (from our Shades of Purple color family).  I just love the ombré effect!  A sentiment from Birthday Greetings was then stamped in black ink, and the card was scored along the edges for added interest.

This clean and simple card shows you how easy it can be to mass produce for the holidays!  A sentiment from Halftone Holidays was stamped in black ink onto our Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, then topped off with a star die cut from plaid paper.

There are many mix-and-match sentiment possibilities using our Beautiful Lady stamp set.  A special card for a grandmother features an embossed orchid from Oriental Orchid which was watercolor painted using Altenew's Coral Berry and Deep Iris inks.  The watercolor panel was then mounted to our fabulous Woodgrain Bark cardstock.

You spoke, and we listened!  After many requests for a Seattle stamp, we have created Sketchy Cities America 2.  For this card, the Seattle skyline was embossed in white onto black cardstock, then cut out and adhered to a Distress ink background.  The ink was first blended, then water was splattered on top – magical things happen when water reacts with Distress Inks! A sentiment strip was added with foam tape to finish the card.

Succulents

In this card, the cactus from the Succulents set was stamped using Forest Glades and Dark Chocolate inks, then colored with Copic markers. The little flower comes from another image in the same set where it was cut out to look like a flower. The panel at the base of the card is from our new specialty paper: Birch wood! As you can see, you can stamp on it and get a nice crisp impression. Pigment ink was used to avoid bleeding. To add interest to the white background, it was textured with some embossing paste (stripes stencil was hand cut from a sheet of acetate).

Here, a cactus from our Succulents set was stamped and embossed using white embossing powder on our new Pale Gray cardstock.  Then, colored pencils were used to add a vibrant pop of color.  A few enamel dots and a sentiment from the same set finish off the card!

modern deco alpha

The cool thing about alphabet sets is that you can stamp any word you want! Here, I made a simple one-layer card for my father using Modern Deco Alpha, and ‘abbu' is what I call him. The delicate floral images are from the Beautiful Day set. They were stamped in second generation using Jet Black ink, and colored with Copic markers.

The Art Deco inspired style of our Modern Deco Alpha set was just perfect for a retro postcard set!  The New York and Boston skylines from our Sketchy Cities America set, along with the Seattle skyline from Sketchy Cities America ,2 were stamped onto cardstock measuring 3.5 x 5.5 – the dimensions of vintage postcards.  Then, they were colored in with Copic Markers.  The Modern Deco alphabet was then used to spell out each city's name.  A postcard backing (found online) was printed on the back of each one, and then they were distressed using Distress Ink.

A few weeks ago, we shared a sneak peek of our Winter Cardinal, stamped in traditional shades of red.  Here, the bird was stamped in various frosty blue inks (from our Cool Summer Night color family) for a fun twist! It is accented by a wreath stamped using Poinsettia and Pine, as well as a sentiment from Halftone Holidays.

We hope you found plenty of inspiration here! Please hop along for more inspiration and a chance to win prizes!
