No Line Colouring With A Touch of Gold Using Garden Treasure & Extra Special

by Sveta Fotinia

Hello everyone!

First I'd like to thank you all for your feedback on my previous project with a stenciled flower pot! You are the best and I appreciate each of your comment! And today I prepared two beautiful cards for you!

This time I tried some no-line coloring and gold trims that I always wanted to try as they look gorgeous! I chose navy blue + brownish yellow colors along with the gold and white for these two. Actually blue+yellow in all possible tones and shades is one of my top color combinations that will never fail. Do you have such combinations?

Ok, let's start with the first card for which I chose Garden Treasure stamp set and coordinating dies. These flowers are amazing and can be colored in so many ways.

SvetaFotinia 2099I stamped images with Sand Dunes Crisp Dye Ink and started coloring with watercolor brush pens and watercolor brush. To achieve more detailed look I added touch of watercolor pencils.

SvetaFotinia 2104I also added a number of white dots with my gel pen and golden glitter in the flowers centers.

SvetaFotinia 2105Once my flowers were colored and die cut I took Fenstone Decorative Element in gold to create my focal point composition in the card's center. For the sentiment I used “Thank you” phrase from Layered Cupcake Stamp Set – love the font!

For my second card I used Extra Special stamp set and coordinating die. I used the same coloring technique for this flower brunch.

SvetaFotinia 2108 This time I used Timeless Frame for the focal point and put my flowers in that frame like in a vase.

Sweet sentiment is also from Layered Cupcake Stamp Set and is placed diagonal adding interest to the card.

For both cards I used Navy Cardstock for the card base and Spicy Yogurt Cardstock for the card layer.

I also added little splashes with Dusk Metallic Shimmer Spray and gold watercolor.

Hope you enjoyed today's inspiration!

Thanks!

Sveta, both of these cards are beautifully done. Love your use of the frames…I always mean to do that and forget. Maybe I need to cut a bunch out and keep on my art desk. Peg

Beautiful work, but I have a question. I was looking at layering guide for this stamp set, ( I def want this one!) and was wondering what the blue , yellow and red lines mean?

Your cards are so stunning! I love the blue and yellow gold combo you used on them. I love how you placed the image on an angle in the lower right corner. They are so beautiful!
