Mixing Stamp Sets – Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it's Therese and I have yet another card and video to share.  I decided to mix up some stamp sets today to create a floral birthday card.

To begin with I stamped Parrot Paradise leaves and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Then it was time to layer up some blue Floral Fantasy flowers and create my bouquet.

For a subtle background I added some Limestone ink through the Splatter Stencil on the front of the card.  I used a big Bold Numerals die cut from Altenew's Dark Gray Cardstock and a small sentiment from the Super Script Stamp Set.

I decided to film the process today.

Love this card and watching you create! I think Altenew stamp sets are perfect for “mixing and matching” and use that idea lots!

I agree Barbara, the flowers and sentiments really work well together from soo many different Atlenew stamp sets. Hugs

Your card is fantastic ! I love the idea of the grey on the flowers matching with the grey cardstock of the numbers. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Isabelle, I am so addicted to grey at the moment, it truly does make such a great ‘shadow’ colour. Thanks so much for your comments.

Such a beautiful card, Therese. Am in love with the large number and large alphabet dies. Will have to save up to buy them next year or perhaps Santa might leave me some money to help, hehehehehe. Your colouring is wonderful and of course all the Altenew floral stamps are just gorgeous. Oh to win Lotto then I can have them ALL!!! Trouble is my colouring technique is just not good, no matter how hard I try. Never mind. Wishing you and yours a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
