Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be creating a card that was inspired by 2 challenges- with a very cool background panel.
The inspiration I'm using is the February 2021 Inspiration Challenge and a Sketch Starter from Nicole.
I started by stamping my floral elements. As there was a bird of paradise flower in the inspiration graphic, I decided to go with the Bird of Paradise Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines using Obsidian Pigment Ink, the leaves and stems with Silver Lake, Cloudy Night, and Gray Denim Crisp Dye Inks, and the flowers with Citrus Burst, Maple Yellow, Honey Drizzle, Fuchsia, and Magenta Crisp Dye Inks. Once the images were stamped, I die cut them using the matching dies.
For the fun die cut panel, I used the monstera leaf layers from Hibiscus Garden 3D Die Set. I die cut both of the layers from white cardstock before adhering them together. Then, I temporarily adhered these to a 3″ x 4 1/4″ guide panel and added some Press n' Seal over them to keep them in place before trimming them down to the same size of the guide panel. Once trimmed, I added foam adhesive behind them and added the panel into place onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. When the panel was in place, I removed the Press N' Seal. (If you don't have this, you could always use masking tape instead.) The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I added these into place as is suggested in the sketch.
