Lovely rocktrumpets, peonies, marigolds, apple blossoms, and more! This release has all you need for card making, scrapbooking, and journaling. Your paper crafting garden is sure to be blooming once you add these fun products to your stash. We can’t wait to see what you create!
But first, let me share how to make a card using hot plates in 2 ways!
I started by hot foiling Spark Joy Decorative Flowers Hot Foil Plate, 3 times, onto a piece of Navy Cardstock using Rose Gold Hot Foil. I then colored the hot-foiled images using the coordinating simple coloring stencils and pigment inks. Pigment inks are best for adding color to dark cardstock as they sit on the surface. The inks I used were Frosty Pink and Coral Berry Pigment Inks for the flowers; Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen Pigment Inks for the leaves; and Warm Sunshine Pigment Ink for the flower centers. I then let them dry and die cut using the coordinating die.
For the background, I used the same hot foil plate but this time instead of using it to hot foil, I used it to stamp instead. I inked the hot foil plate using Antique Gold Ink before repeatedly stamping the image onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of Navy Cardstock. Once this was complete I adhered this onto a white 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base and then added the die cut images into place using Instant Dimension Foam Tape. Before adding the sentiment, from Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet, I added a little gold splatter using Metallic Watercolor Pan Set.
