Hello everyone and a very happy Wednesday to you!
Lydia here today sharing two cards made with one of the smallest stamp sets in the April Stamps & Dies Release – Wish Big Stamp Set. Even though this is only a 3×4 stamp set, it is still one that packs a punch.
I started with a piece of white cardstock and I stamped the Wish Big Stamp repeatedly all over it. I worked down the piece going in rainbow order, the inks I used are Ruby Red, Orange Cream, Warm Sunshine, Parrot, Lagoon and Deep Iris. I cut this to size and added it to a black cardstock base.
I stamped the Wish Big image again onto another piece of white cardstock, this time using black ink. I fussy cut around it and adhered it into place on the card front using foam tape.
My next card uses the same stamp and ink colors but a different technique.
To start, I stamped the Wish Big Stamp into place on a piece of watercolor cardstock using embossing ink and then heat set using white embossing powder. I then added clean, clear water over and around the heat–embossed sentiment. I then dropped in inks to act as watercolors, I used the same colors that I used on the first card.
Once the watercolor was dry I wanted the sentiment to pop a little more so I took a black fine line pen and went around the edges of the letters and in the center of the ‘big'. I just love how this little trick really makes the sentiment pop.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
And I really hope this post inspires you to play with some of those smaller stamp sets too.
Hugs,
Lydia

Really pretty cards, and the black outlining of the sentiment is brilliant.
