Video: Majestic Mistletoe with Laura

by Laura

Hi there! Laura here and today I have a festive project to share featuring a few of the holiday themed products from Altenew.

38316534872 3daf55b61b cTo begin I stamped the smaller mistletoe image from the Majestic Mistletoe stamp set repeatedly to create a wreath-like shape using Bamboo & Olive ink. Then I die cut a circular window opening in the center.

38316534962 cd6afba244 cI used the Grid Stencil and blended Fresh Lemon & Orange Cream ink to add a soft, glow color to the background. I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Holidays stamp set inside the window opening and added some Rainbow Sparkle Jewels to finish it off.

Laura, you made me chuckle, finding a way to add rainbow colors in a very creative fashion to a more traditional Christmas card! This turned out just as you describe, festive and glowing, and super pretty with the rainbow jewels.

Oh Laura you just make me smile every time I listen to you and watch you!!!! You are so much fun, even just making a small little wreath. I adore it. I love the multi colored gems that you used to make your heart happy…they look amazing as all of your cards do! Thank you for sharing something not quite so Christmasy in color but Christmasy in your heart!!!!

What a gorgeous card!! Love how you cut the center out of the leaves. The remaining image is perfection! You could have left it at that and it would have been lovely, I’m sure, BUT then you added the grid stencil background in those soft glowy colours and it just seemed to make the wreath image pop. It’s not something that I would’ve done but I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Not sure why I like it so much but I do! Thanks for inspiring me to be adventurous in my stamping and card making!!
