Majestic Bloom – Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it's Therese and today I decided to add shading to these beautiful flowers with my Polychromos pencils.

Lostinpaper - Altenew - Majestic Bloom - Painted Greetings card (video) copy

For today's project I used Majestic Bloom with the Coral Berry crisp dye ink and pencils to shade.  I stamped the sentiment from Painted Greetings on to a piece of Cherry Wood Cardstock with the Jet Black crisp dye ink and added a border with the Jet Black cardstock.

It was a clean and simple design and with a few hiccoughs along the way I was still able to complete my design and have a video to share the process with you.

What a gorgeous card Therese! I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who blunders through the card making process! LOL

Therese – THANKS SO MUCH for such a beautiful card AND for sharing the process you went through to get there! It makes me feel so much better to know that I am not the only person who sometimes struggles when making cards, though I must admit, mine don’t turn out nearly as amazing as this one. I would never have thought of adding the orange with the pink….truly a gorgeous color combo. Note to self: must try!

Thanks so much for that wonderful video. I love that you made mistakes but kept on going. Sometimes I get the feeling that DT members always do everything perfectly the first time, so it was great to see you’re as human as I am! Love the pencil over the ink technique. Going to try that one myself.
