Are you ever stuck for inspiration? Have you ever been inspired by what is sitting on your craft desk?
Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I will share a card that was inspired by the ever-so-cute Watercolor Essential 12 Pan Set.
I started by creating my little watercolor pan by cutting watercolor cardstock to 1 3/4″ x 4″. These will be the top and bottom of the case. I rounded the corners of these pieces using a small corner rounder. Then, I cut 10 small circles using Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set from watercolor cardstock; these will act as the paints. I added color to the little die-cut circles using the paints from Watercolor Essentials 12 Pan Set and then left these to dry.
Then, I cut another piece of watercolor cardstock to 2″ x 2 2/3″. This served as a cute card for my little scene. For the image on the card, I used Mini Delight: Bold Bloom Stamp & Die Set as this fit perfectly. I stamped the image using Obsidian Pigment Ink and watercolored it using watercolor. When I mixed the watercolor, I also added some of this to the ‘lid' of the case that would be on the card; I really feel this adds to the scene.
Once the die-cut circles were dry, I added these onto the unpainted case piece using foam tape. Then, I added all of the elements into place onto a white card base.
