Tropical lilies

by Aimes

Hey!

Happy Monday! It's Aimes here today, but before I share my card with you I have some fantastic news from Altenew HQ:

Today only! Save 15% on selected paper, stamps and dies from now through to midnight EST on November 30th for retail orders. No coupon code is needed to enjoy this deal at www.altenew.com. Happy shopping!

Right then, back to blogging business. Today I'm sharing a card that features the fabulous Layered Lily stamp set. You may be knee-deep in Christmas cards, but there's always room for general thank you card, right? ;)

Thanks for everything

The addition of some Distress Ink blended onto the bottom of the panel along with a splash of water gave my lilies a slightly tropical feel. I kinda like it!

Thanks for everything close up

Top tip: Don't panic if you don't own yellow embossing powder for the stamens. I simply used white embossing powder and traced over the embossed design with a yellow Sharpie marker. Simple!

Well, that's all from me today. Even if my card is a little tropical for the time of year, you may find that you can always make your own thank you cards for the season by simply replacing the lilies of my design with something a little more festive such as a poinsettias or pine cones! :)

Happy stamping!

What a beautiful card! Love the dimension you added by popping the lilies up off of the card!
