Hello, it's Marika here. Thank you for visiting us today.
I'm featuring Painted Flowers set today. This set has been in the market quite long time already and you guys have done such a beautiful cards with this set. I tried to come up with something that is not that usual and I've hardly seen these flowers coloured in copics – a challenge for my ears. You know I love detail and at least for me, tiny details is hard to achieve with copics so today's video I will show you how I coloured these flowers firstly with copic markers and then add details, dimension and depth with coloured pencils. Here is my card first:
- Stamps and inks used: Painted Flowers, Lace Up, Altenew Crisp Dye Inks Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Jet Black.

You can watch my video tutorial here or in HD in YouTube. I kinda lost my voice over the weekend, so the voice over is quite short. I added notes along the way to help you to follow the video. Hopefully you'll find it helpful anyway.

Another gorgeous flower with such amazing detail…the color choices are unusual and dynamic. And the clever engineered embellishments, i.e., the ombre strip and nest of thread tucked behind the leaves is such a terrific idea. Marika this is absolutely stunning.
And you, my dear friend, are the kindest! Thank you so much for your comment. Loved reading it. Hopefully your day is filled with sunshine today!

You have a sense of shading and contour that simply astonishes me, I’ve been practicing and have CASEd some of your cards, I still need a lot more practice but I’m on my way. I also need to get some of those beautiful distress inks you always use, the colors are so intense and gorgeous.
I’m sorry you are a bit under the weather, this time of year, with the cooler temperatures, a lot of people get sick so, hopefully you’ll get much better soon.

Probably the most gorgeous and stunning flowers I have ever seen colored. I thought you had glued some flowers to the front of a card base, until I saw you actually stamp and color them. They are breathtaking. I definitely need to start practicing more. Thank you for the inspiration, and sharing your talent with us.

What a fantastic card! I love your skills. I do wish when you are adding in the details you would talk about how your decide where to add them and how! Love it just the same though. I’m just trying to imitate what you do!
Thank you so much for your comment, Vicki! I’ll sure try to me more informative with my voiceovers in the future. For a non-native English girl, it is a bit hard task to do, but I truly appreciate your comment and try to give a better in-sight what I’m doing when I’m doing something. It is good to know that you’d like to hear that kind of stuff as well. Have a great day!
Beautiful card! Loved to watch you coloring the flowers. Thanks so much for sharing, Marika!
