Hey!
Wow! Can you believe that it's June already? It's Aimes here today to kick off the new month in true Altenew style with this month's inspiration challenge! Take a peek at the following picture and be inspired to get creative:
This photo was shot by our friends at shoot photography is from my Wedding Day back in January 2015. I was inspired by the colours, the stunning flowers, the touches of sparkle on my wedding dress and even the ‘JUNE 2016' label to create this card:
I started out with my favourite Woodgrain White cardstock for the card base to add texture and created the cream roses by stamping and layering the two detailed rose stamps from Vintage Flowers with Buttercream and Warm Sunshine ink onto white cardstock. I then used the corresponding die from the Vintage Flowers die set to die-cut around them to create the fuller shape of the flowers.
The style of the ‘JUNE 2016' text on the inspiration pictures just had me gravitating towards one of my most favourite sentiment stamp sets ever: Label Love! I used Jet Black ink to stamp my sentiment and trimmed the ends of it to allow it to fit snugly within the design. :)
