June 2023 Stamps, Dies, Stencils, & More Release

Catch a glimpse into the beauty of North Africa with this spectacular release! Inspired by traditional and modern interpretations of Moroccan motifs, these stamps, dies, hot foil plates, stencils, and embossing folders will surely elevate your projects. Each of the three ensembles includes a curated collection of products designed to work perfectly together. We can't wait to see what you create!

Today I'm playing with fun fruit die-cuts and gorgeous gouache.

So, to start I took a piece of watercolored cardstock and backed it with a piece of Double-Sided Adhesive. I then added blocks of color using the Strolling Through New York Gouache to the adhesive-backed cardstock, I added enough color so each of the dies from the Orange Blossom Die Set could be cut from the colored blocks.

The colors I used for the 3 different shades of orange were Primary Yellow, Ruby Red, and Coral Red, these were mixed in different quantities to get the different shades. For the leaves, I mixed Pistachio Green, Lagoon Green, and a touch of Prussian Blue. The branch was a mix of the greens and oranges I had on my palette. The flower petals were very watered down Baby Pink and the flower centers were created using Primary Yellow. For the background, it was a mix of Prussian Blue with a touch of Lagoon Green.

Once the gouache was dry, I cut all of the dies from the Orange Blossom Die Set on their respective painted color blocks. All of the dies were cut once, except for the two leaf layers and two flower layers which were cut twice. Once they were all cut I adhered the die-cuts together.

For the card itself, I cut one of the dies from the Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set from a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Classic Crest Solar White. Before adhering this panel to the card base, I added the blue background piece behind the circle die-cut window and stamped a sentiment onto it using Main Squeeze Stamp Set. I then added the layered die cuts into place.
