Hey friends! Hope you guys are doing well. I have a jewel toned, watercolour card to share with you using Peony Bouquet Stamp Set.
The April Altenew Inspiration Challenge colours are just SO gorgeous I couldn't stop myself from playing with them and hopefully inspire you in the process.
For my card front I used Woodgrain Powder cardstock to which I added black paint splatters for a bit of interest.
I stamped the flowers from the Peony Bouquet Stamp Set with watermark ink and heat embossed them in gold. To get this toned watercolor effect, I added plenty of water to the image. After that I started to drop some watercolour to the wet area without giving it much thought if the colours are mixing. The photos don't do justice to the gorgeous mix of colours I ended up with.
After fussy cutting out all the images I moved on over to the frame.
This gorgeous ornate frame is from the newly released New Day Card Kit. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE everything in this kit including the die!
After I arranged all the flowers, I just knew the sentiment HAS to be one from the Label Love stamp set.
I chose to go with “celebrate” since this works for every occasion! I added a few gold sequins and a strip of Gold Glitter Tape to one side to complete the look.
That is all friends! I hope you like the card. It was super quick, except for the fussy cutting of course but everything else came together rather quickly. Actually I keep a stash of heat embossed or plain stamped images in a box and the card making process becomes a little quicker because of that.
Hope you were inspired today!
love and hugs,
