Hello, Altenew friends! It is Nathalie here with the October Inspiration Challenge. I love fall, especially those sunny breezy days when leaves are just swirling in the air. I love photographing the movement of leaves; so, it was only fitting to use the colors in one of the photos as inspiration for this month's challenge.
Using this color palette, it was easy to add a touch of fall to the project.
I am using Caribbean Sky Pigment Ink, Persian Blue Pigment Ink, and Sapphire Pigment Ink to create the soft ombre color effect on the card panel. I just love how easily these inks blend creating that soft gradient color on the card base, thus bringing the blue of the palette onto the card.
What better way to add a touch of fall than to create leaves for the card. I used Butternut Crisp Dye Ink, Sunray Crisp Dye Ink, and Chamomile Crisp Dye Ink to create the color base for the leaves. The Grape Leaves Die Set is my choice to shape the leaves for the card. I am using Coffee Break Gradient Cardstock and the same die set to create the veining detail for the leaves.
I am adding a few extra leaves (behind the Grape Leaves cluster) to bring movement to the card. These are cut from Coffee Break Gradient Cardstock using the Just Leaves Die Set. The combination of the background and leaves completes the October Inspiration Challenge palette.
I am using a bold but simple sentiment to complete my card. I am combining the Cartoon Tulips Stamp Set, and Floral Thanks Stamp Set for the sentiment. Then a few scattered sequins bring a pop shine to the card.
