Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.
Today, I'm sharing how to make 2 fabulous rainbow butterfly cards using the beautiful Swallowtail Butterfly Die Set!
What could be more beautiful than these butterflies? Well, how about adding some rainbows?!
Idea # 1 – Watercolor Rainbow Butterfly Card
This large open butterfly is perfect for a rainbow! I painted a rainbow of color using the Artists' Watercolors, and after it was dry, I die cut the solid layered image.
I used only one of the layering dies, which I added overtop using Jet Black Cardstock.
I kept it clean and simple by adding some stamped splatters from the Inky Bouquet Stamp Set and a sentiment from Crystal Frames.
Idea # 2 – Pastel Rainbow Blended Background on a Butterfly Card
For my second butterfly card, I decided to create a pastel blended background using the Frozen Delights Crisp Dye Inks.
I added my butterfly layered from the Gel Printing: Soft Washes Paper Pack. And some die-cut leaves from the Hanging Garden Die Set.
I thought this would make a lovely sympathy card so chose a simple sentiment from the Fragile Foliage Stamp Set.
