Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today I'll be having a little fun and showing you how to create a turning rainbow topped card.
Firstly I started by using Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set. I cut some of the dies inside each other to create 3 different sized rings. I also cut the largest with the smallest circle in the center to use as the base later on. Once I had the rings I ink blended onto each in a gradient manner. For the largest ring I used Pinkalicious, Rubellite and Razzleberry, for the center ring I used Citrus Burst, Chamomile and Snapdragon and for the smallest I used Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake and Lagoon. Before adhering these onto the base I added a piece of acetate that would cover the hole in the center.
I then added a hole into the middle of the acetate and into a strip of white cardstock. This will act as the mechanism. I then added a small brad through the hole in the acteate and then through the hole in the white cardstock strip. Once this was done I then added some adhesive behind the strip and added it to the top of a 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4 ” card base.
To cover the brad I used a panel of 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Before adhering this into place I added a little ink blended sky, using Dew Drops Ink and Cloud Scene Stencil. The sentiment is from Build A Flower Ranunculus.
