How to Stretch Your Frame Stamps to Create Gorgeous Floral Cards | Take 2 With Therese + Video

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it’s Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese. Today’s post is a Stamp Focus using the beautiful Festive Floral Frame Stamp Set.

Two Handmade Floral Cards Using Altenew Festive Floral Stamp Set

I decided to share 2 cards today showing how a frame stamp can be used in 2 different ways.Close-up Image of "Happy Holidays" Floral Card Using Altenew Floral Frame Stamp SetThe first card uses just a portion of the stamp as a corner highlight. Then, I added a watercolor wash using the Watercolor Brush Markers and the Watercolor Brush Marker Refills.I added a sentiment from the Plentiful Pine Stamp Set to both of the designs.Unique Blue and Green Holiday CardMy second design is much busier as I used the frame to create a repeated pattern.I think it can be fun to create festive cards in non-traditional colors. And, as a final touch, I added some Antique Gold Sequins to both cards.

To see how I created these cards, you can watch my video here or watch it in HD on YouTube.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I love the card exactly as you made it. The added water really amped it up and made it gorgeous. Definitely not black & white.

This is a super clever idea to use stamps differently. I like the colors but personally would not have made the colors run! Thanks so much for your videos and all you share!

This is a lovely stamp set. I have to check my “stash” to see if I have any frame stamps and try this.
