Hello, crafty friends!
A New Holiday Memory-Keeping Layout Idea for You
It is that time of the year when we always try to squeeze as much out of the season, and it seems time is just flying by. So, I wanted to share a new spread that comes together quickly and with beautiful results!
The new Festive Greenery is just the perfect set to bring texture, color, and beauty in minutes to any project. Let me show you what I have created!
As you can see, I used the Festive Greenery ensemble as the centerpiece for this spread. The simple design in this set lets you customize your project in minutes with a modern and unique look.
You can watch how this spread comes together in not time in the video at the bottom of this post.
First, A Bit of Texture
I wanted to bring something tactile to my holiday memory-keeping layout, serving as a title and focal point. So, I reached for the Festive Greenery 3D Embossing folder to create a 6″ x 8″ panel on white cardstock.
Since the panel was larger than the embossing folder, I used a ruler to mark the centerline and embossed the two sides of the panel, making sure the folder did not overlap the centerline.
I chose to pump the texture and dimension of this holiday memory-keeping layout by adding the title in a separate component.
For this, I created a die-cut using the Stitched Scalloped Circles Die Set, then stamped a sentiment from the Joyful Greeting Stamp set, and set it on the center of the page with the help of some twine.
Next, Let's Bring In Some Color
To make this page cohesive and eye-catching, I used a selection of colors to match the ones in the photo. Though the colors are non-traditional for a holiday layout, they complemented the photo perfectly.
I've also combined the Stitched Scalloped Circle die-cuts in such a way that they became focal points in this spread. For this, I used the Festive Greenery Stencil set to add the design to the small die-cut.
Let's Finish With A Touch of Shine
Nothing says holiday more than sparkle and shine! However I did not want to go overboard with the sparkles this time, so I opted for gold twine to help me attach the die-cuts to the page.
In addition, I added a sentiment from Encouraging Sentiments to the center of the stenciled die-cut to pump the feel/sentiment and sparkle of the spread. That little bit of Brushed Gold Hot Foil is just all the page needed.

I hope this new idea for a holiday memory-keeping layout inspires you to create similar projects of your own. (Remember to add texture, color, and shine to make your projects pop!) I cannot wait to see what you will create!
