Hi There! It's been awhile. In fact there has been a whole new stamp release since my last visit. So many truly great designs to play with so little time. Today I'm going to let you in on a little secret. It's one of my go to stamping techniques. It is also a great way to use the tiny pattern stamps.
This past month Eva learned to stand all by herself! Mommy and Daddy are crazy proud. Which is why I was so glad I was sent the Celebrate Stamp Set. Oh, that reminds me. Did you know that there are quotes on the backing cards of the tiny stamp sets? I am particularly fond of the one on the Celebration set. It's a quote from Oprah Winfrey that reads: “The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”. Doesn't it have a great ring of truth to it? I know it's certainly the case in my life.
Right, before I wandered off track I was telling you about my go to technique. I love to use stamps to ground floating embellishments to a page. In this case I used the Tiny Stars Stamp to give my photos a home. I took full advantage of their hollow shape and messy watercolored them in, to help draw the eye in as well.
I used the same technique on some of the floating embellishments too. Except this time I used the Tiny Hearts Stamp and the same pink watercolour paint I used for the boarder. It is far less pronounced than the stars. I like that it creates a really cool distressed look, which matches my pattern papers.
I also layered in a few sentiments from the Celebrate Stamp Set. Not only does it reinforce my pages theme, the black ink brings needed contrast.
So there you have it, 3 really great uses for our tiny stamp sets. I hope, even if you aren't a scrapbooker, that I have still managed to inspire you.
