NEW Floral Stamp Set – Hero Arts + Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the special Hero Arts + Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop post!

I am so excited to be here to celebrate a HUGE milestone for Hero Arts – their 45th Anniversary! In honor of this occasion, we designed an amazing 6×8 stamp set, Bloom and Grow:

PR105 packagingThis stamp set includes a stunning (and large!) floral outline with accompanying leaf and fantastic sentiments. I love how these fonts look together! I used the new set to create a fun watercolored card.

Let's take a look!

I stamped each of the flowers from Bloom & Grow onto Canson XL Cold Press Watercolor paper using Permanent Black Ink.  I set them aside to dry for a few minutes, then used our Liquid Watercolor – Brush Marker Refills to splatter paint the images! For the flowers, I used Purple Wine and Midnight Violet.  These colors are so saturated and vibrant!

Next, I stamped the leaves onto another piece of watercolor paper, cut down to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I used a more traditional watercolor method to paint these with a brush. I used a combination of Sweet Leaf and Dusk. To finish off the card panel, I splattered a mixture of Warm Sunshine and the remaining Sweet Leaf and Dusk that was left on my Medium Watercolor Palette.

To assemble the card, I fussy cut the flowers and adhered one with glue tape, and the other with foam tape. Check out the video below to see how it all came together or watch it in HD on Altenew's YouTube channel.

Other than the obvious beauty you have created, and not to take away from that but for some reason I noticed your consistent margin..have to say I’m in awe of your fussy cutting!
