Happy New Year Card using Adore You Stamp Set

by May Sukyong Park

Altenew HandmadeNewYearCard MayPark 1Hi, crafty friends! It’s May here today sharing a Happy New Year card. I was planning to create a colorful watercolor card using outline images from Adore You stamp set.

Then I realized that my coloring skills got rusty since I haven't played with watercolors for the past few months. After several attempts at watercoloring, I decided not to color them but leave as is.

Altenew HandmadeNewYearCard MayPark 2Instead, I added a touch of gold to my card with gold sequins, threads, and heat embossed word after stamping my florals/leaves in black. What do you think? Please tell me I did well! ;)

By the way, I white embossed the sentiment HAPPY NEW YEAR from the Happy Dreams Stamp Set and gold embossed the word celebrate from the Super Script Stamp Set.

I am intimidated by stamp images that seem to require expert “colouring” skills (which I don’t have!), so this card is a great reminder that these floral images look just as gorgeous coloured – or not. A beautiful card, May, that has put this stamp set on my Wish List :-)

I love this the way it is.. I am glad you didn’t color it and just used the little color in the sentiment and sequins to complete it.. Stunning. I love it.
