Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today, and I have some happy yellow daisies to inspire you!
I love the movie “You've Got Mail,” and the quote “Don't you think that daisies are the friendliest flowers?” was definitely running through my mind when I created this card.
The beautiful blooms on the Vibrant Florals Hot Foil Plate are absolutely massive and so much fun to color! Let's get started with the details!
Vibrant Handmade Card with Daisies

I began by hot foiling the image Vibrant Florals Hot Foil Plate on a panel of smooth white cardstock using black hot foil. The black foil is so smooth and crisp on the white cardstock, perfect for this large floral image!
I used the Sunshine Valley Artist Alcohol Markers to add lots of sunny yellow and jewel green to the daisies. I made sure to use the Colorless Blender Marker to add some highlights on the edges of the petals on the uppermost layer of petals.
The blender helps to soften the edges of the colored areas, making it perfect for adding highlights!

Once I had finished coloring the daisies, I used a blender brush to lightly blend first Fresh Lemon, then very lightly Maple Yellow inks around the edge of the colored card front. I wanted to convey lots of happy sunshine!
I love how the white cardstock helps to create a halo around the colored image, making it pop even more.

For the greeting, I used Obsidian ink and clear embossing powder to emboss sentiments from the Note For You Stamp Set, then die cut the “sorry” with the coordinating die. I also die cut a few of the scalloped edges from the Note For You Die Set from some black cardstock (love that there are so many “extra” bits and pieces in that die set!).
I also added a coordinating deep mustard strip above to help ground the sentiment a bit. I adhered the accent strips with liquid adhesive, then popped up the greetings with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. Finally, I added a few shining graphite gems for some sparkle.
Well, that's all for this card project today!
The huge floral image in the Vibrant Florals Hot Foil Plate really creates such an impact; all you need to add is a sentiment to finish the card off! It would look great watercolored, as well. So many options!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
