Guest Designer: Lorena Cantó

Hello everyone! It’s Lorena here. Last Summer when my family and I traveled the US East Coast, I had the enormous luck to meet Jennifer Rzasa in Boston. When the time came to come back home, in my luggage, along with the wonderful experience of meeting a lovely and talented crafty friend, I brought some of her amazing stamp designs too! And of course, inspiration rolled in the moment I sat to create with them. So today I bring you 3 projects.

First, is a card that uses Modern Beadwork and Super Script 2. Since the moment I saw Modern Beadwork I knew I wanted to stamp an ikat inspired background with it. And it came together in no time! The little squares that form all the images on this set fit so perfectly together! The sentiment comes from Super Script 2.

Next, another card, this time with Birthday Bash and a sentiment from Geometric Menagerie. I used one of the streamers from Birthday Bash to make the wreath.  Just curve it on a round block and you’re good to go! Once it was stamped, I colored it with dye ink and a water brush.

Then I added the sentiment from Geometric Menagerie, but I masked the heart that originally comes with that sentiment and added a die cut one instead. Oh, and the background is patterned paper.

Finally, I thought Sketchy Cities Abroad would be great for a luggage tag. I just heat embossed the Shangai skyline and added a partially masked sentiment from Shadow Play. The tag was die cut from patterned paper.

And that’s it from me! Thank you so much Tasnim and Jen for having me today and for your simply wonderful designs!

A big thanks to Lorena for joining us today!  Her projects are fun, colorful, and modern, and we hope she has inspired you to ink up your Altenew sets!
