Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing a card project that features some beautiful soft stenciling and ink blending on kraft cardstock, together with fun foiled accents around the flowers.
The kraft cardstock gave it a vintage look, complementing the elegant and graceful style of the flowers from the set of coordinating products from Soft Blossoms.
Soft Stenciling and Hot Foiling on Kraft Cardstock
I started by embossing a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Parchment Cardstock using the Soft Blossoms 3D Embossing Folder from the Happy Blossoms Ensemble. Once the image was embossed on the cardstock, I added a little color to the embossed image using the coordinating simple coloring stencil.
I used Coral Bliss and Sea Forest Crisp Dye Inks for the ink blending. Using soft stenciling, I added ink to the flowers and leaves with a Mini Ink Blending Brush as I didn't want to add too much so I could still see the kraft cardstock popping through.
To add interest, I added the stamens and small dots around the image using the 2-in-1 Precision Glue Pen. I let the glue dry until tacky then added some Brass Hot Foil. This was gently burnished down so the foil would stick to the tacky glue details.
I have to say, I just love how cute those little golden dots look around the image! This technique is a great way to use up hot foil waste. For the “Hello” sentiment, it was hot foiled using Brass Hot Foil and Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate.

I love your card- so soft and delicate. I think I will try these colors as I usually do bold and bright- but I loved your choices!
