Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. I have an inky post with Altenew Alcohol Inks.
These Alcohol Ink Bundles are not just for refilling the Artist Markers; they are excellent on their own with alcohol ink projects. If you are intimidated by alcohol inks, don't be. All you need to do is let loose, pour, dab, and let the ink do the work for you.
Easy Card Idea with Alcohol Inks
Since the alcohol inks are non-porous, you will need Alcohol Blending Solution and Alcohol Ink Paper (such as Yupo Paper or photo paper) to maximize the inky effect. A blowing tool (such as a straw) will help move the ink on the surface.
Let's start with that striking inky background!
I took out the Cool Night Alcohol Ink Bundle and Green Meadows Alcohol Ink Bundle to ink up the paper. As you can see, the teal, green, and blue make such a beautiful color combo. You can also use other color combos such as the Lapis Lazuli Alcohol Ink Bundle and Water Garden Alcohol Ink Bundle.
How to add shine to your die-cut image
I used Flowing Foliage Die Set with Gold Foil 1-inch Washi Tape for the leafy images.
Top Tip! Want to add some sparkle to the dies? Simply apply the gold washi tape to the desired spot where you die cut. Carefully position the dies over the washi tape-covered white cardstock. Next, proceed to make the die-cut as usual with Mini Blossom Die-Cut Machine, and you will get the sparkly leafy/floral designs instantly!
Instead of the usual black, I stamped Bold Sentiment Stamp Set in Lagoon Crisp Dye Ink. I kind of like this matchy-matchy look! To elevate this card, I added Gold Metallic Thread and Satin White Sequins.
The inky inspiration is not over! We have a Get Inky with Alcohol Inks Instagram Blog Hop over at the Altenew Instagram page! Be sure to check it out and comment to win an Altenew gift card. Please comment below if this post inspires you in any way. Thank you for stopping by!
