Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be showing a fun take on galaxy watercolor backgrounds and using it instead for die-cut floral images.
To start, I took a large piece of watercolor cardstock. I added water to both sides before dropping in different colors from Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set. When I was happy with the amount of color, I added splatter using Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and then left the piece to dry. Once dry, I added more splatter using the Metallic Watercolors to add more stars and sparkle. I heat set this before cutting the flower layers from Watercolor Garden Layering Die Set from it. Once these were cut, I added Antique Gold Pigment Ink around the outside of the die-cuts before adhering them together.
The leaves and flower centers were cut from Gold Foil Cardstock. And I have to say I'm just loving that shine. The sentiment is from Fancy Greetings Stamp Set and was embossed using Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder onto a Jet Black Cardstock card panel.

Lydia this looks absolutely amazing!!!!!
WOW, your flowers look…out of this world. Seriously, this is such a cool idea.
Beautiful card!!!
just beautiful!!!
This was an interesting technique. I enjoyed it. I’m afraid this is good-bye. I can’t get into my YouTube account or my Instagram and have contacted Google several times to no avail. Allot of your blogs have “not secure” on them so that I can’t access them.
Awesome background. I do love the look of the watercolor gardening die because of the pieces being together for die cutting. The card is unique and I like it!
Well, Lydia, that die set just went into my cart and is on its way to me! That is a jaw-dropping card!
Beautiful card and a technique I now definitely have to try! Thanks for the video!
I think this may be the most beautiful card I have ever seen
