Hello there, Michelle Short here with Terrific Tags with Michelle.
Today I have a see-through shaker tag to share with you. Shaker tags are fun on their own, but I thought I would make it extra fun and special by creating a see-through one!

See-Through Shaker Tag
I started off by creating the tag itself. I placed the shape die from the Labels & Tags 2 Die Set onto my craft mat. I then put a Halftone Circle Nesting Die inside. To make sure that I could die cut these multiple times without the dies moving, I temporarily adhered them together using Satin Masking Tape.
I die cut the tag twice from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. I then die cut the hole in the top of each shape to create the two sides of the tag.

I added Glue Tape on the back of the tags, around the circle opening, and then placed acetate on top. I did this for both sides of the tag. Don't have acetate? You can use clear packaging from stamp sets too!
I cut Instant Dimension Foam Tape into a smaller strip, removed the backing off of the tape, and placed this around the circle shape.
TOP TIP: Removing the backing off of the foam tape helps to make the foam tape more pliable, so that you can bend it into different shapes!
I added anti-static powder around the sides of the foam tape (removed any excess with a cloth) and then placed my shaker bits inside. I used some iridescent confetti in circle and star shapes. I added a lot, so that most of the window would be covered. I then placed the back of the tag on top to secure the shaker bits inside.

Embellishing the Tag
Once the base of the tag is completed, so many different things could be added to the front, but for today, I decided to add a flower. This flower was made when I created this card and tag, and I saved it. I love using up leftovers!
It was cut from Cherry Blossom and Rose Petal Gradient Cardstock Sets and adhered together. The leaves were cut using Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock Set. The leaves were adhered to the tag first, using Glue Tape, followed by the flower.
I ensured that the adhesive did not show inside the window or on the parts overlapping the tag.

Adding a Sentiment
My go-to set for small sentiments is the Flower Vine Stamp Set. I stamped the “just for you” sentiment using the Stampwheel. I inked up the sentiment using Embossing Ink before stamping it onto Jet Black Cardstock. I applied Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set.
It was cut into a strip and adhered to the tag using Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish off, I die cut the hole reinforcer piece from black cardstock and adhered that to the tag before tying a bow with black twine.
You can watch the full process video below or on YouTube.
So, there you have it! Are you creating a shaker card? What designs do you have in mind? I hope I have inspired you to make a see-through shaker tag.
Have a great day!

Love the dual sided shaker tag! What a great idea – thanks for sharing. I will definitely be trying this.
