Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing 2 ways that you can do hot foiling on felt – with and without heat!
Foiling on Felt: Without Heat
To start, I added a piece of Enchanted Gold Foil to a piece of Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet. I then cut this using Layered Snowflake Stars Cover Die A. Once cut, I placed the foiled cover die-cut face down onto the work surface and removed the backing from the double-sided adhesive sheet. Then, I added pieces of felt into place and pressed them down. I now have a piece of foiled felt!
Foiling on Felt: With Heat
To start, I heated up Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate on my foiling machine. I then added Enchanted Gold Foil, shiny side down, onto the warm foil plate. Then, I added felt (add shims only if needed) before running the hot foiling machine plate through my die-cutting machine. I now have another piece of foiled felt!
Once the felt had been foiled, I then used Folksy Florals Die Set to cut my images from various colors of the foiled felt.
To stick the die-cuts together, I used felt glue that works really well on the felt surface. I then added my foiled elements to a white circle die-cut (Scalloped Stitched Circles Die Set). Before adding this to the card, I added a decorative strip that I had foiled using Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate and Enchanted Gold Foil. The sentiments were foiled and die cut using Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate and Die Set.
