Before we get started, I just wanted to thank our pal Jennifer McGuire for the feature she did for this most recent release! You can check out her video by following the link below to see each of the sets up close!!
Thanks again, Jennifer! Today's feature is Festive Silhouettes:

On this card, three ornaments were stamped in dark pink ink, then cut out before getting adhered to a white cardstock banner. The strings were drawn in with a fine tipped pen, leading up to the strip of teal patterned cardstock- I love those colors together! The sentiment was stamped onto the lower edge of the banner, and the whole thing was mounted to a lovely shiny card base.
This card shows how you can take some simple sentiment stamps and turn them into an amazing background! The four words were mounted together onto an acrylic block , then inked up in varying shades of grey for a cool gradient effect. The deer was stamped in red ink and cut out before getting mounted to the card. Metallic embroidery floss finishes off the card!
For this card, the tiny star image in the Festive Silhouette set was used to create a Christmas tree shape. Vellum embossed (in gold) with the sentiment was layered on top to soften the tree. I didn't have detail embossing powder, so the banner in the sentiment didn't look as clear as I would have liked To fix this, I re-stamped that portion of the sentiment onto white cardstock in dark green ink, and adhered it on top with foam tape.
This was such a quick and easy card! The patterned paper already had that lovely polar bear image, so I wrapped some crochet thread around the top and adhered it to a card base. Next, the sentiment was stamped onto a circle die cut and popped up with foam tape. Simple and lovely!
Don't celebrate Christmas? Or would you like to stretch your stamps beyond the holidays? The tree image in this stamp set is just perfect for masculine cards! The addition of some wood veneer shapes around the sentiment (from Birthday Bash) just adds to the woodsy feel of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and we just can't wait to see what you create with Festive Silhouettes!
