I rarely create flowery layouts as I have a son so I tend to use boyish papers and embellishments when I scrap about him. But today, I got to create a floral layout, as this layout is about me and my high school friends. We rarely get to meet up, but we managed t0 meet at the mall not so long back. To mark to occasion I asked some one to take a picture of us. It's a rare moment in my life meeting up with my high school friend so I have to scrap it.
I use Reflection Scrapbook Collection and two stamp sets – Remember This Stamp Set as flower embellishments and Super Script Stamp Set as bold title. The title I stamped in Jet Black Crisp Ink as I wanted it to be bold. The leaf embellishments I stamped in Paper Bag Crisp Ink so they were not as eye catching and mixed better with the floral images behind.
I used only one photo this time, to give some movement to your layout it helps to tilt the photograph. I added some flower stickers that you can find in the Reflection Scrapbook Collection behind the photo. Then I layered them with some stamped leaves and wood button. This gives a lot of interest as many textures are used.
To give more interest I added some stickers and die-cuts near the photo. You can be small titles of your layouts, it's always good to mix things up! I added some journaling to the bottom of my layout, but you could always hide yours if you didn't want it on the page.
For the large title, I used ‘friend' from the Super Script Stamp Set. I placed it in the bottom of the photo, adding it over the photo really brings the two pieces together. I also added some gold mist and gold stripe washi tape to make my layout prettier.
