Hello there everyone and happy Thursday! It's Lydia here with you today. And I'll be sharing a card using Big World Die Set in a little different way than planned. I have loved the globe trend this year, especially he ‘D.I.Y.' globes where they have been painted and have flowers painted on them… well you know me.
I cut the two pieces of the globe from Big World Die Set. The stand using Gold Mirror Paper and the circle globe part from light blue card. Onto this light blue circle I then wanted to create my kind of D.I.Y. globe, I used Mini Blossoms Stamp Set to do this.
I stamped the large flower using Coral Berry Crisp Ink for the base layer and Ruby Red for the centre layer. For the leaves I used Lagoon Crisp Ink. For the flower outline and leaf details I stamped them using sticky ink and then heat embossed in gold. To lighten the image up I then stamped some of the small flowers from the set and heat embossed these in white.
When placing this on my card blank I thought it needed something else, it seemed to get lost. I didn't want much going on in the background, just a little something. So I grabbed Wood Pallet Background Stamp Set and stamped this in Morning Frost Crisp Ink. This was just what I needed to break up the stark white card base.
I anchored my globe using a sentiment strip, using a sentiment from Big World Stamp Set. Also a little pencil shading under the globe helps.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope this inspires you today!
